Every two years, Infant Aquatics instructors come together to reconnect, learn, and foster the relationships that make our international network unique.

This year's retreat brought instructors from across the world to SwimPrep in Prattville, Alabama, for several days of hands-on learning, collaboration, professional development, and a whole lot of fun!

2025 Infant Aquatics Instructor Retreat - Rafting

Team-building rafting experience. Can't keep aquatic professionals away from the water!

While a 6-week Infant Aquatics training provides the foundation, one of the greatest strengths of our network is that learning doesn't stop there!

Questions, demonstrations, feedback, and skill refinement — all alongside fellow instructors.

Throughout the retreat, instructors participated in in-water demonstrations, educational sessions, business development discussions, and collaborative problem-solving with fellow drowning prevention advocates.

Business development is an integral part of each Infant Aquatics Retreat.

But, perhaps most importantly, they spent time together sharing ideas, building relationships, and learning from one another, advancing a mission that extends far beyond any single pool.

Some of the most valuable questions happen outside the classroom.

Whether an instructor was certified this year or has been teaching for decades, the Infant Aquatics bi-annual retreat provides opportunities to refine skills, gain new perspectives, and continue growing alongside others dedicated to helping children become safer in and around the water.

Because when you become an Infant Aquatics instructor, you're not simply completing a training program. You're joining a network!
