About Danai

Hello, my name is Danai Cole and I’m from Oklahoma. As a young person I chose a path in the Medical field. I attended emergency medical training, acquired 911 operations certifications and worked in this field for 14 years. My husband and I are proud parents of two competitive swimmers and a registered nurse! My family has always loved the water and water safety has always been a top priority due to the many lakes, rivers, and pools that we frequent. It’s with awareness and love of the water that I began assisting Infant Aquatics instructor Brandie Russell with her maintenance lessons and have witnessed many children become confident self rescuers and swimmers. I knew early on that I wanted to be a part of this program and when I visited Judy’s Swim-Float-Swim Infant Aquatics facility in Colorado, it confirmed my desire to become certified!

With Judy by my side, we worked through six weeks of hands on training, accepting a new child’s personality every ten minutes. Training also encompassed studies in child behavior and development, anatomy and physiology and sensory conditions. Since my training began I have acquired skills that provide a child with the ability to be the safest that they can be around water by learning how to self rescue and swim using the swim-float-swim method. I want to equip as many children as I can with these lifesaving aquatic skills, so that parents and children can feel save and grow a love for the water.
