About Danielle

Hi!

My name is Danielle Schiavoni. I reside in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania with my husband and four children and work as an English Language Development teacher.

I have been part of the local swimming community as a competitive swimmer, age-group and high school swimming coach, and a swimming instructor. Swimming for fun, competition, and exercise has always been important to me, but swimming for survival became a priority once I learned that drowning is the leading cause of accidental death for children between ages one and four years old. Once parents started contacting me to teach their babies and young toddlers to swim, I knew I had to reach out to an expert in the field of infant swimming, which is how my journey with Judy Heumann at Infant Aquatics began.

In the summer of 2022, I completed an intensive six-week hands-on, in water training in Colorado with Judy where we used our coursework in child development, behavior, and physiology to teach babies and toddlers how to float and swim-float-swim. This scientific approach to teaching swimming has provided me with the knowledge and confidence to successfully train young children to swim for survival.

I am excited to bring survival swimming lessons to children in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania!
