About Jordan

My name is Jordan Dunlap. I am the proud owner and instructor of Infant Aquatics of Lubbock. I am passionate about making drowning awareness more prevalent in our area considering how often West Texans are in and around water with our summer heat. Knowing that my work might save lives inspires me to teach to the very best of my ability each and every day that I am in the water.

I am also the proud owner of two child care centers serving over 120 children. Additionally, I own a small CPR company and certify hundreds of people each year in Adult, Child and Infant CPR/AED and First Aid Training.

I am married to the love of my life and I have three children, two boys and one girl, all who have successfully completed the Swim Float Swim program through Infant Aquatics. Once I witnessed the skills Infant Aquatics taught my children, I knew this was something I wanted to do. In 2019, I engulfed myself with all of the information on becoming an instructor and even set out to train. Unfortunately, circumstances prevented me from training that year. I went on about life and continued with my existing businesses, still having that passion and fire to become an instructor. Then, in the beginning of summer 2020, another opportunity arose and I knew without doubt this was my next calling and I couldn’t wait any longer. I booked and committed to spending 6 weeks in Colorado to receive the amazing training that the owner and founder of Infant Aquatics, Judy Heumann, provides. The training was so thorough and exciting with a ton of information, tips and tricks to ensure that our students receive the safest and most effective lessons. Judy was very encouraging and sweet, and was committed to teaching me to be the best instructor possible. The training, travel and time spent away from home was the hardest thing I have ever done, but I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. It was so worth it all and I cannot thank Judy enough for molding me into the instructor that I am.

Our program is designed to teach children how to swim and float across the pool to reach safety, as well as learn to be independent in the water. All students learn the lifesaving skill of rolling onto their back to breathe. We tailor each lesson to fit your child's needs. We start as young as 6 months and teach children up to 6 years old. We offer stroke courses for school aged children as well. Being a parent with children in the Infant Aquatics swim family, I am anxious and excited to be able to share my feelings of accomplishment, excitement and awareness with other parents. I love working with children and I am so grateful that I get to help children and parents while doing something that I completely love.
