Lauren Campion of Champion Infant Aquatics is an educator and survival swim instructor in the greater Boston area. Growing up thousands of miles away in Kailua, Hawaii, she was constantly in the water and now helps little ones learn how to safely navigate it themselves.
After starting a family in Massachusetts and realizing there were no active survival swim instructors in the area, Lauren pursued her own Infant Aquatics school. She trained under IAS founder Judy Heumann and spent more than 120 hours in the water learning to teach infants and toddlers the skills to self-rescue through the Swim-Float-Swim method.
Lauren has worked in schools for eighteen years. Aside from her Infant Aquatics Survival instructor certification, she is a licensed public education administrator. She earned her BA of Psychology from Loyola Marymount University, MA in Urban Education Policy from Brown University, and will earn her Ed.D in leadership in schooling from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell in May 2023. Lauren speaks fluent Spanish and has lived and worked in seven cities and two countries throughout her career.
Lauren is excited to meet your family and develop skills for lasting happy memories in the water. Champion Infant Aquatics is enrolling a limited number of children ages 6 months to 4 years in Massachusetts - Metro-West/Central. Se habla español.
