Hi My name is Liza Albreada! I am a Torrington high school graduate. I went straight to work fresh out of high school and worked at my parents waste and recycling business for 13 years as an office executive and still do part time.
I currently reside in Goshen,Connecticut with my husband and two young Children who are just 17 months apart! As a busy mom of littles so close in age I know first hand the importance of water safety skills.
Both Jack and Sophie completed the survival program with Dena Blum-Rothman at Infant Aquatics CT and I was amazed. They both became safe and confident swimmers by the end of the session. It was then that I knew I wanted to be a part of this and become a certified instructor!
In October of 2021 I completed an intensive six-week hands-on, in water training with Dena Blum-Rothman. I had the privilege of working with dozens of infants, toddlers and young children. In addition to in water training I had academic coursework covering, child development, child behavior, and child physiology. I have acquired skills that provide a child with the ability to be the safest they can be around water by learning how to self rescue and swim using the swim-float-swim method.
I am also adult and pediatric CPR, AED, and First Aid certified.
I am beyond excited to bring such an amazing, life-saving program to the families and children of my community and nearby towns. I hope to reach as many children as possible in the years to come and look forward to teaching your child to swim independently, and to love and enjoy the water, safely!
