Aloha! My name is Naomi Ogden, I was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii and currently reside on the island of Oahu. Being surrounded by water, the beaches and pools quickly became my favorite playground. At a young age I learned that I enjoyed working with children, and my first job was working at preschools. After that I became a professional nanny and continued in this profession for the next 20 years. During this time, I brought one of my charges to a survival swim class and was instantly intrigued. Living on an island and always being close to the water I realized giving babies and toddlers the basic resources to survive in the water was a huge priority to me.
In early 2023, I completed an intensive six-week Infant Aquatics training and certification in Longmont, Colorado that consisted of over 120 hours of hands-on experience in the water teaching more than 25 infants and toddlers the swim-float-swim method.
I have been married to my wonderful husband for over 20 years and together we have created a home for 5 dogs and 7 cats. We enjoy going on hikes, stand up paddling, traveling, and going to the gym. One of the hobbies that I no longer take part in was bikini bodybuilding where I took the stage 6 times! Aside from bodybuilding and working out, I also like to help the community in Hawaii that helps rescue and adopt out stray dogs and cats. I hold certifications in both CPR and AED.
I am very excited to be a part of the Infant Aquatics team where I can express my knowledge and bring my passion to Oahu.
