My name is Paige Johnson. I am the owner of South Plains Infant Aquatics based out of Ropesville, Texas. I grew up in Ropes where I met my husband. We reconnected in 2017 and got married in 2020. We currently live in Ropes where we farm cotton. We are no more than 10 miles from both our parents, all our siblings, and grandparents. We love being close to our families and will forever be thankful for the proximity of them all.
I first heard about Infant Aquatics through a friend and although I loved the idea, I didn't act on it immediately, but always kept the thought in the back of my mind. Somehow, God continued to put his program in front of me time and time again and I finally decided to follow his path for me. I have always known whatever I ended up doing in this life, I wanted to make a difference. I have three nephews and a niece on the way who are my world. The thought of something happening to them was not an option. They are essentially what drove me to pursue Infant Aquatics. So, here I am with a passion to save the lives of children and give parents a peace of mind when their child is in or around the water.
I am First Aid/CPR certified for both children and adults. I graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelors in General Studies with focal points in Psychology, Sociology, and Addictive Disorders and Recovery. I have also completed an intense 6-week training with SWIM-FLOAT-SWIM under Judy Heumann. Judy has taught me more in 6 weeks than I could've ever imagined, and I will forever be so grateful for her and the program she has built. Packing my things up and leaving my husband and family behind almost 10 hours away was one of the hardest things I have ever done. I learned so much not just about saving children but also about myself.
I am so grateful for the opportunity to teach children as young as six months to safely enjoy the water and ultimately save their own life. It takes only a split second for a child to drown and the investment you make in your child will be something you will never regret. Our one-on-one lessons are designed to teach your child to be independent in the water. Our goal is to teach them to swim-float-swim until they reach a safe place. I am excited, and blessed for the opportunity to teach your child and do something I am passionate about each and every day.
