I'm Tracey Panzer-Michelle and I own the Floating Kiwi Swim School where I teach swimming survival skills as well as pre-competitive stroke lessons to infants and children.
I have been an avid swimmer my entire life. I swim with a Masters Team, occasionally competing, as well as coach an age-group swim team.
When I wanted my children to learn to swim, I was unable to find a program that taught practical swimming skills to youngsters.
After my children successfully completed swimming lessons with Beverly Steinfink of Aquatots I was convinced I, too, could share a proven, pragmatic skill that could save a life. Furthermore, I felt as if I could pass on my love for swimming. I truly love my work.
I am infant, child and adult CPR and AED certified.
If you're wondering if you should enroll your children with me, I want you to think about what a day at the pool is like for you. Can your child swim? More important: Can they float independently? Do they think you or someone will always be available to help them in the water? Learning to swim is more than learning to be comfortable in the water. It's also about self-reliance. Floating is a skill that liberates you and your child. Once they know how to breathe, they truly can swim, no matter how old they are. I welcome the opportunity to teach your child infant aquatic survival, pre-stroke or pre-competitive skills.
