Erin Strickland's connection to water safety started early. Raised by parents who weren't confident swimmers themselves, she learned to swim young and grew up understanding, firsthand, exactly how much that skill matters. Throughout eastern PA and NJ, backyard pools, family visits, and beach vacations are simply part of childhood. It only takes one distracted moment for that joy to turn into tragedy, and that urgency is what drives Erin to bring her swim school, Water Whisperer Infant Aquatics, to families throughout the region.
Erin is a certified Infant Aquatic Survival Specialist, trained by Judy Heumann, founder and leader of the Infant Aquatic Survival program based in Colorado. This innovative program is a rigorous six-week, 100+ hour curriculum grounded in child development, behavior, and physiology. Erin holds a degree in Elementary Education and brings the water skill of a nationally ranked competitive swimmer to her teaching, backed by over 10 years of swim instruction experience.
That combination gives her a rare foundation: academic training in how young children learn, elite-level water skill, and a decade of hands-on teaching. It's what she brings to every family she works with, serving Bucks County, PA and the surrounding eastern PA and NJ region.
The program teaches children age-appropriate water survival skills, including rolling from a face-down position into a face-up survival float, and mastering the swim-float-swim sequence. Erin's goal isn't just to teach a child to survive in water. It's to teach them to swim and rescue themselves, so they can enjoy the water safely and confidently for a lifetime.
