About Leone

My name is Leone and I’m originally from Hawaiʻi, where being in the water has always been a natural part of my life - swimming, surfing, bodyboarding, diving, and everything in between. I moved to Las Vegas in 2020 for new opportunities, and I’ve now spent over 10 years in the warehouse industry. Becoming a parent, however, shifted my direction in a way I never expected.

When my son started swim lessons at just 6 months old, I saw firsthand how early water safety can shape a child’s confidence. He became comfortable in the water quickly - not just enjoying it, but showing real awareness and responsiveness to the safety skills we practiced consistently at home. Watching him grow more capable each week made me realize how powerful these skills are, especially when introduced early. That experience sparked my passion and ultimately led me to pursue Infant Aquatics training.

During my training, I had the opportunity to work with children of different ages, personalities, and skill levels. I learned how to meet each child exactly where they are, whether they’re brand new to the water or building on existing skills. That experience was incredibly rewarding and confirmed that this is the path I’m meant to follow. I also learned to teach through a water‑confidence model, helping children feel secure, capable, and aware in the water while developing real survival skills.

Now, through 9th Island Infant Aquatics, I’m dedicated to bringing those lifesaving skills to families in our community. My focus is on creating a safe, supportive environment where children can build true confidence in the water and parents can feel fully at ease. As a parent myself, I understand the trust you place in your child’s instructor, and I’m committed to honoring that trust with patience, consistency, and proven safety‑driven instruction. Most importantly, I want to show my son that it’s never too late to choose a career that brings purpose, fulfillment, and the chance to make a meaningful impact.
