Hi, My name is Sami Nolan. I'm so excited to join the infant aquatics family as an instructor! When I'm not in the pool teaching other kiddos to swim, I'm at home raising my own wild bunch of kids. Our soon-to-be family of 6, consists of identical twin daughters, a son, and one on the way!
Before putting my career on hold to focus on my family, I worked in the sports and entertainment industry in South Carolina. As a former Community Relations Manager for a minor league sports team, I have always loved interacting with children and engaging with members of my community.
My family is very adventurous and, like so many others, we enjoy spending our summers around pools, lakes and the ocean. After our son turned 2, my husband and I decided to enroll him in the Mighty Floaters Infant Aquatics program with Allysa Smith to ensure he was safe around big bodies of water. Since he’s always trying to keep up with his big sisters!
While watching our son go through the program, I was instantly intrigued and impressed by the entire process. Once we saw the life-saving survival skills our son learned, we decided to enroll our daughters in the program as well. After being amazed at how confident and safe my own children became in the water, I immediately realized that I wanted to become an instructor as well!
I'm so grateful I had the opportunity to complete 6 weeks of hands-on, 1-on-1 in-water training with Erin Loewe at Starfish Infant Aquatics. I had the privilege of working with dozens of different infants, toddlers, and young children. The training I received was better than I could have ever imagined, and I learned more than I ever thought possible. In addition to my in-water training, I also had the opportunity to receive academic training on child behavior and psychology. This intensive training will allow me to teach children to be the safest they can be around water by learning the swim-float-swim method!
As an IA instructor, I'm so excited to join Allysa Smith at Mighty Floaters Infant Aquatics and have the opportunity to teach other children these amazing techniques! I look forward to helping so many other families feel confident in and around the water. My compassion and care will ensure that your child receives the highest quality lessons. Survival swim safety is so important and I cannot wait to share this process with all of you!
